"Can I leave my name out so Daddy can see it?"
"Sure." ---2 hours pass---
"Mommy- I made a ball out of the clay again and you can STILL see my name(on the oak Amish-made dining room table you just got a couple of years ago...)!!?!"
Oh well... It will probably fade and if not- we'll always remember kindergarten with Doodle...

Any chance it's near the dry-erase marker 'lil sis initiated the table with?
I hope it will slowly fade off for you! I'm sure though it will not be the last!
Hey! Watercolors do the same thing to my cheap table. Those amazing "Magic Eraser" things from Mr. Clean work wonders! They are gentle and don't seem to take off finish or do any damage. You could try that.
